Visa Support: A visa to the Russian Federation is a document that permits you to stay in Russia for a specific period of time. To apply for a Russian Tourist Visa at the Russian Consulate you need to have a visa support letter (invitation). Visa support may be available from the hostel you book. Please enquire about this beforehand as the procedure of applying for a Russian Tourist Visa at the Russian Consulate takes some time. Tourist visas are issued to tourists who have booked accommodation in Russia for a non-business reason. Typically a Tourist Visa is issued for a maximum of 30 days.
